An ever growing portfolio

It's odd, every so often finding myself with nothing to write about. I don't know how people manage to post everyday and continue to be interesting. I'm trying to get back into prose writing, as the past year was mostly spent on screenplays and comic book scripts (had an artist, lost the artist, now still looking for an artist). I've decided to try and send my stuff out (once it's all good and polished and such) to some magazines and wait for the rejection letters to role in. Straight prose fiction has never really been my thing but I'm going to give it a shot.

And in the efforts to build my writing portfolio you can all go to The Noyse and check out my Newest Editoral.

Also, what does <3 mean? I've seen it on a few teen blogs and have yet to figure it out.

Please site an example for <3, I might be able to figure it out. Though you were a teenager way more recently than I was. Did you ever talk to Amy (fridaysweb) about being your artist? She's a wicked good drawer. Note how I incorporated "wicked" into that sentence. I'm still a teenager at heart.

It's usually at the end of a post.

<3, (bloggers name here)

And I'm from New England, "wicked' is used by folks of all ages up there. But I figure that's just a New England thing.

Great editorial! Never give up your writing, it's awesome! I've always said wicked, too, mostly to describe the desert heat here. I might grow old, but I'll never grow up.

<3 is a sideways heart. It's distracting. I guess it's cute to someone under 19. Maybe. It just looks like some poor guy was in a terrible accident to me.

Amichai, you are a fantastic writer. On all fronts! As for wondering how people post...etc. Don't worry if it's not entertaining. Just spill when you need to. It helps let the better stuff flow. Trust me :)

Good editorial. Very interesting and well done.

Speaking of comic books and nobody reading them these days, whatever happened to playing board games/ group games? Maybe it's just not in the circles I hang out in, but does anyone do it anymore? Although I had a great time playing Stratego in a bar against a girl about a month and a half ago.

A heart, I never would have figured that one out.

My siblings and I just started playing Parchesi (sp?). There are so many rules I didn't know about, it's actually a pretty fun game. There's a guy I know in cambrige who frequents the 1369 coffeshop who will play anyone in checkers. But over all, I think there is a dearth of board game playing.

Huh. All this time I thought it was a pair of fat lips giving a kiss.... <3

I find myself posting garbage just to get to the comments (like yesterday for example). I've had to force myself to get some Theme Days going. Like (que segue):

WV:TG Every Thursday

Only in the Hideout.

Rated E for Everyone.

I also have another creative idea for a game to be played when I'm good and damn ready.

I'm not creative in the literary department. I HATED reading as a child and it spilled over into my bigger childhood (No, I'm NOT A GROWN UP!). I enjoy Alkelda's creations and I'll try to read other bloggers creations, but I can never guarantee that I'll apreciate them the way others do.

I read your editorial and enjoyed it. I've read like two Archie Comics in my life. There was this cute comic about an Altar Boy in my Catholic School. Kinda like a "Goofus and Galant" for Catholics. Always had a moral. But you make a good point. Unfortunately, I prefer movies to print. Guess I'm lazy.

Hitman, haven't you ever seen those posters in the library, "reading is fun"?

Amichai, sorry about the shenanigans over at my site. Your welcome to join in if your not feeling real mature. I just don't want to corrupt you (any more):)

Hi Amichai,

I'm here to hang out because I can't throw insults like stuff?

Good job on the editorial. Also, thanks for leading the charge against those conservatives. Their arguments are weak and they know it.

Thanks for the comment, Greene! Weekends rule! I do expect a new post come tomorrow morning, you know...and don't give me this late and cranky shit, either. Hope you're feeling better, honey. xo
